AM/NS India’s proposal to establish an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) cluster in Visakhapatnam has been approved by the Indian government. The scheme aims to modernize training infrastructure, enhance engagement between industry and training institutes, and improve employability outcomes for trainees. Additionally, the plan includes setting up National Centres of Excellence in sectors experiencing high growth, thereby aligning skill development with industry needs. This initiative is expected to contribute to workforce development in Visakhapatnam and support the region's industrial growth by providing skilled manpower. The scheme seeks to modernise infrastructure, strengthen industry engagement, improve employability outcomes and establish National Centres of Excellence in high-growth sectors.
