In response to the Prime Minister's recent call to limit the use of fossil fuel vehicles, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has reported an increased demand for cleaner vehicle options, including compressed natural gas (CNG) and electric vehicles (EVs). The company's Victoris model has achieved a notable milestone by becoming the fastest vehicle to reach one lakh (100,000) sales within just nine months of its launch. Impressively, 57% of these sales were of the CNG variant, reflecting a growing consumer preference for environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternatives in the Indian automotive market. This trend aligns with broader national efforts to reduce pollution and promote sustainable transportation solutions.
